The vocabulary of living green

Our changing climate is a topic that is at the forefront of our minds. This year, the focus of World Environment Day on 5th June is on the global crisis that is air pollution. To be part of the conversation about the issues and possible solutions, Collins English Dictionary offers the vocabulary you need. Here are some of the terms you may come across:

Many of the terms that have been created to talk about the changes that are happening in the world are formed with words such as “pollution”, “green” or “environmental”. These are collocations, words which are used very commonly together, for example:
